One of ‘jazz legend’ Dave Brubeck’s sons, Darius Brubeck, has made a big name for himself as a jazz pianist since he returned to the UK after living in South Africa during the early 2000s.
Darius has now settled on a quartet of awesome ability – Matt Ridley on bass, Wesley Gibbons on drums, and superlative saxophonist Dave O’ Higgins playing alongside himself on piano. The Darius Brubeck Quartet released their album Cathy’s Summer last year, to great reviews, and now have a date in Spalding off the back of a January run at Ronnie Scott’s iconic London jazz club.
