Top US bluesman, Catfish Keith returns to Southwell after selling out in 2010, 2011 & 2012. One of the most exciting country blues performers of our time, he’s appeared with legends such as John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, Robert Cray, Koko Taylor, Taj Mahal, Leo Kottke & Johnny Shines.
Catfish’s speciality is National Resophonic guitars, an instrument he picked up on after hearing blues legends such as Bukka White and Son House. He learnt from luminaries such as Dave ‘Honeyboy’ Edwards and Jesse Mae Hemphill and is one of the top pre-war style blues guitarists.
