Portsmouth's best alternative comedy night returns with Portsmouth Legends The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Review headlining.

A comedy twosome with over two decades of mucking about behind them, they have been everywhere from New Zealnd to The Falklands and Exeter to Edinburgh with many a stop in between.

They've played the lowliest pub back room to the London Palladium and had a month in Edinburgh resulting in a 5 star review from The Scotsman!

Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.

The Raymond And Mr Timpkins Revue

The Raymond And Mr Timpkins Revue appearing at this event

'It's freakish entertainment on a twisted stick', the charismatically challenged uncle and nephew duo, invite you into a world of stylophone rock anthems, brushed velvet arousal and 'indulgent, brilliant tackiness'. Likened to Morecambe and Wise and the Two Ronnies, anyone who can bring the house down with nothing more than a couple of Lidl carrier bags and an Oasis song have to be seen to be believed. 'A mad, anarchic triumph of stupidity over style. Not to be missed' (The Guardian).

Joe Wells

Joe Wells appearing at this event

'Joe Wells is a skilled jokesmith who threads great gags through intelligent political material that, whilst razor-sharp, is never particularly angry or dark. As the first gross gags open up into smarter, topical ones it's clear that this is a tightly-structured, well thought-out set. Excellent jokes and sly political comment wrapped tightly in a neat parcel which delivers regular, powerful laughs from a delighted audience. He spins new life out of easy targets like bankers and the BNP with some wonderful imagery' (British Comedy Guide) 'Highly original, inspired and suitably different from the rest of the crowd… brilliantly crafted jokes' (Comedy Central). 'A star of the future... some of the most surprising and thought-provoking material coming from any comedian in his early 20s' (The Guardian). 'A real venom in his delivery seemed to communicate that the numerous laughs that he manages to obtain are just positive collateral to the message he is trying to portray' (Broadway Baby).
