Re-imagining Sondheim
The music of Stephen Sondheim has provided the soundtrack to some of musical theatre’s greatest shows. So when pianist Anthony de Mare asked 36 composers from Steve Reich to Wynton Marsalis to respond to some of his famous repertoire it was bound to create something special. Having released Re-Imagining Sondheim as an album on ECM, Anthony de Mare now brings the work to the stage in three shows across the UK.
