The legendary singing sisters will headline the last event in this year's Sunday Concerts series, held as part of the South Tyneside Festival.
Famed for world-wide hits like We Are Family, Frankie, He's The Greatest Dancer and Lost in Music, the band have enjoyed platinum-selling albums and many of their tracks continue to be remixed today.
The iconic group have sadly recently been rocked by the death of sister Joni, however remaining members Debbie and Kim are set to honour and remember Joni as they hit the road this summer which includes this date at Bents Park.
Sister Sledge will be joined by local act The Shakes, who appeared in last year's final concert alongside UB40 and won rave reviews from fans.
