Concert By Collegium Singers - Classical Vienna
Mozart, Haydn and Schubert are well known for their sacred choral works, but their secular vocal compositions in German are relatively unknown. This concert will include delightful vocal settings of texts by the most famous German classical poets, including Gotthold Lessing (mason and librarian to the Dukes of Wolfenbuttel), Johann Goetz and the immortal Goethe.
Peter Leech, Musical Director will give a pre-concert talk at 7pm
