The Somerset Levellers

30 years ago, at the first Somerton Music and Arts Festival, The Somerset Levellers performed. They welcome them back this year for a 30th anniversary Ceilidh Night at the Edgar.

The Somerset Levellers are a long-established band, playing mostly ceilidhs (events involving traditional dance, music and song) incorporating a range of traditional music from around the British Isles.

Their repertoire also includes music written and arranged by members of the band, which reflect their interests in those traditions, arranged and presented in a lively way.
