Jazz At The Philharmonic
The show, ‘Jazz at the Philharmonic’, is a homage to Norman Granz’ legendary concerts at the Philharmonic Club in Los Angeles in the 1940’s.
In 1944 jazz impresario Norman Granz booked the prestigious Philharmonic Auditorium in Los Angeles and presented the very first 'Jazz at the Philharmonic'. For the next forty years he took the show around the world and featured many of the greatest names in jazz.
Recreating this show, is a 10 piece band headed up by Pete Long, supreme clarinettist, raconteur and currently Musical director of Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club.
