Nick Owen, Sir Doug Ellis
"A unique opportunity to join one of the true characters from the Midlands reminiscing about his eventful life.
If you have had any interest in football in the Midlands over the last few decades then the name Doug Ellis will be familiar. As the owner of Aston Villa Football Club he was regularly in the headlines, employing and sacking some of the biggest names in the game, building a stadium that is the envy of all the local rivals and much more. Known to many locals as the man that took them on their first package holiday with Ellis Travel, Doug has many stories about his incredible life that will be discussed with Nick Owen.
Nick Owen, popular radio and television broadcaster, is best known for his pioneering days in breakfast television, sharing the sofa with Anne Diamond at TV-am in the eighties. Having interviewed literally thousands of people, including six past and present Prime Ministers, showbiz stars, members of the Beatles and many more."
