Rising star Angel Snow's songs veer between imagined stories and real life experiences, always showing incredible sympathy for the suffering and downtrodden. Alison Krauss and Union Station recently recorded not one, but three of Angel's songs for their last album Paper Airplane. She is as powerful a performer as she is a song writer, and featured recently in a Nashville songwriters House Concert brought together for BBC4 by Whispering Bob Harris.
Singer-songwriter Ben Glover, inspired by the sounds of Dylan, Cohen, and Cash, has been compared to Ryan Adams, David Gray and Bruce Springsteen and has been called one ‘one of Ireland’s finest tunesmiths’ (The Irish World). This will be his second visit to Shrewsbury, following his fantastic sell-out performance alongside Mary Gauthier in October 2013.
