Carducci String Quartet, Crawford Logan

The Carducci are joined by well-loved actor Crawford Logan (The Archers, Paul Temple, Dr Who) for a unique exploration of Beethoven and his music.

A selection of the great man's letters written to friends, family and colleagues, spanning his entire life, including the famous 'Immortal Beloved' letters from 1812 (to an unknown woman) will be presented between related movements of his quartets.

Works will include selections from his masterpieces Op 18, Op 59, Op 95 and the late quartets Op 131, Op 132 and Op 135.

This special performance promises a fascinating insight into the complex character of Beethoven's world
