August Afternoon Jazz
One of Brighton's best kept secrets, the Sussex Jazz Orchestra is an exciting 20-piece big band currently conducted by Mark Bassey. A unique mixture of student musicians, experienced professionals, and those with non-musical day jobs, the standard impressively high. Featuring up to seven saxes, six trumpets, and four trombones, plus a rhythm section of piano, guitar, bass and drums, they play a variety of compositions by Tubby Hayes, Thad Jones, Paul Busby, and more.
