Jim Mullen is a truly original voice in contemporary jazz guitar. Originally from Glasgow, he has worked with the likes of Pete Brown, Brian Auger, Vinegar Joe and Kokomo to name a few. In 1975 he met sax player Dick Morrissey beginning a 15 year collaboration as legendary jazz/funk-fusion group Morrissey-Mullen.
Since then Jim has worked with stars including Georgie Fame and Claire Martin. He is a three-time winner at the British Jazz Awards, receiving the iconic Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.
Jim brings his talented organ trio to Ropetackle in support of their latest album ‘Catch My Drift’.
