An unstoppable force, fresh faced and emerging from Birmingham's exciting Folk/World scene, The Bonfire Radicals is the coming together of eight inspired and talented instrumentalists. They intelligently weave together Klezmer inspired woodwind, Scottish born and bred fiddles, hard hitting guitar and bass, and global beats from the percussion into a new global sound world.
It all began in 2010 when percussionists Lydia Glanville and George Kirkham decided to bring together a group of diverse players with the aim of creating something different. A few jam sessions later, and the offer a gig supporting Bellowhead's Rachael McShane at Moseley Folk Festival's legendary Lunar Society sessions, The Bonfire Radicals were born. Since then the band has gone from strength to strength.
