The Forgotten Songs Of Lerner And Loewe
If you enjoyed the international media sensation The Lost Songs of My Fair Lady in 2015, join again to discover other overlooked works from the catalogue of the writers of Brigadoon and Camelot.
Featuring songs from Lerner and Loewe's first two Broadway musicals What's Up? (1943) and The Day Before Spring (1945), a full Broadway-sized orchestra and cast perform surviving songs from the shows, some of which have not been performed for over sixty years.
The concert also launches a new research collaboration focusing on Lerner and Loewe, between Dr Dominic McHugh of the Music Department and Matthew Malone, who has recently been awarded the Frederick Loewe Doctoral Scholarship in Music.
