Miss Liberty

The UK Concert Premiere of Irving Berlin’s Forgotten Classic.

Following on from the media sensation of The Lost Songs of 'My Fair Lady' earlier in the year, here is the UK concert premiere of a forgotten gem by the composer of White Christmas, with the original orchestrations played by a 40-piece orchestra.

In between writing his two biggest hits, Annie Get Your Gun (1946) and Call Madam (1950), Irving Berlin wrote the distinctive score for the musical Miss Liberty (1949).

Detailing the efforts of rival newspapers to track down the woman who posed as the model for the Statue of Liberty, the show explores the circumstances behind the creation of one of America's most important symbols of freedom.

They are pleased to announce that Great British baker Howard Middleton will be reprising his role as narrator for these performances.

Musical Director: Matthew Malone
Producer: Dominic McHugh
Narrator: Howard Middleton
