This Sevenoaks Symphony Orchestra concert begins with Handel’s Overture in D minor in an arrangement by Edward Elgar. It is followed by Elgar’s own magnificent Violin Concerto, reputedly one of his favourite compositions, which will be performed by internationally renowned soloist Michael Foyle.
Brahms’ popular 1st Symphony in C minor, which took him two decades to write and has been described as “Beethoven’s Tenth”, closes the concert.
