Widely regarded as the UK's leading and most versatile jazz band, the BBC Big Band broadcasts exclusively on BBC Radio. This concert will be recorded for BBC Radio 3's Jazz Line-Up.

Special guest soloist is jazz musician James Morrison. Although best known for his trumpet playing, he is a multi-instrumentalist who performs on saxophones, flugelhorn, bass trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, double bass and piano; a unique talent and personality. He composed and performed the opening fanfare at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
