For the final concert, local favourite and international soloist, Jamie Walton will be performing Tchaikovsky’s virtuosic Variations on a Rococo Theme. Do not miss this!

Opening the concert with William Walton’s orchestrations of works by J.S. Bach for the Frederick Ashton ballet, The Wise Virgins. The ballet is based on the parable of the wise and foolish virgins from Matthew XXV.

The second half of the concert features two 20th century classics - Arthur Honegger’s atmospheric symphonic poem, Pastorale d'Été and Aaron Copland’s seminal work, Appalachian Spring, which captures the wide open spaces and endless possibilities of an ideal America.
