Tim Peaks Diner

Tim Peaks started as a metaphorical and metaphysical diner in the tweets of Tim Burgess.

An imaginary world where a jukebox played and coffees were poured, but as time passed by the metaphysical became the physical and the metaphorical became the, er, phorical: a logo turned into some merchandise and real coffee beans were ground to make the Tim Peaks blend

Then in 2012, Tim Peaks became a full blown reality at Kendal Calling - the gift shop of the deer park, where the festival was held, was sequestered and an espresso machine and a stage were brought in - that first year a supergroup made up of Edwyn Collins, Roddy Frame and Tim Burgess played - and since then guests have included Suzanne Vega, Sleaford Mods, Professor Tim O Brien and Nick Heyward.

Secret sets at Tim Peaks are legendary and you never know who might turn up and play, last year these included sets by Pete Doherty, Cabbage and Blossoms, the year before it was The Vaccines - so who knows what might happen?
