Sangam 2017

An evening of sublime sufi music

To celebrate the opening of Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s HOME1947, an immersive installation marking 70 years since the Partition of British India, we’re delighted to present a one-off concert bringing together two of Sufi music’s brightest female stars.

Sanam Marvi, an extraordinary, much-loved Pakistani singer and a dazzling master of the epic qawali style, and Harshdeep Kaur from India, a popular playback singer known for her soulful voice and Bollywood hits, will be joining forces at The Lowry – performing solo sets and then singing together for the very first time.
