An exhilarating new Double Bill from Scottish Dance Theatre makes its debut in Spring 2019. Ritualia By Berlin-based Scottish choreographer Colette Sadler, together with the premiere of a brand new commission by world renowned dancer and choreographer, Emanuel Gat, promise an evening of exquisite, cutting-edge dance.

Ritualia re-imagines Igor Stravinsky’s Les Noces, which originally premiered in Paris in 1923. Sadler’s interpretation transforms the gender thematics of the original ballet by introducing the idea of androgyny as its point of departure. Evoking and celebrating the notion of hybridity, exploring iconic artificiality, presentation and fashion, Ritualia is a thought-provoking visual feast.

Emanuel Gat’s bewitching choreographic force powers The Circle, a beautiful new piece of dance with Scottish Dance Theatre’s ensemble of captivating dancers.
