Blood and Roses - The Songs Of Ewan MacColl
Ewan MacColl was a musician, writer, actor, producer and activist, he is perhaps best known for writing classic songs such as Dirty Old Town and First Time Ever I Saw Your Face but he also wrote many other poignant often political folk ballads.
First performed in Glasgow to commemorate 100 years since his birth, Blood and Roses is curated by his sons Neill and Calum MacColl and features other family members.
This is a very special tribute to Salford’s most famous musical son will take place only a stone’s throw from the place of his birth.
