Substance - An Evening With
Due to the tickets selling out immediately for 'Substance: An Evening with Peter Hook at The Albert Square Chop House', an extra event has been added - this time at Salford Lads' Club.
So on Saturday 15 October - to tie in with the publication of his new book, Substance: Inside New Order - internationally renowned musician, DJ and author, Peter 'Hooky' Hook, will be in-conversation with award-winning journalist, Sarah Walters talking about his early life with Joy Division and New Order, right up until the huge success of the recent Hacienda Classical nights.
Having detailed the rise and fall of ‘Madchester’ in his book, The Haçienda: How Not to Run a Club; Pete followed it up by Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division, his documentation of the band's short - but phenomenally influential - career. However, it looks like Pete's third book is set to be the most important part of his story - the New Order years.
This in-conversation event will be a rare opportunity to hear Pete talk openly to an audience in an intimate setting. Following the interview with Sarah, there will be a chance for the audience to ask Pete questions themselves. Copies of Substance will be available to purchase on the night, which Pete will personally sign. The book includes exclusive photographs and archival images from his personal collection.
