Salford Concert
The 80-strong National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is to perform at Peel Hall at the University of Salford conducted by one of the world's finest orchestral conductors. The band will be led by maestro Bramwell Tovey, the musical director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, who regularly guests with some of the world's most famous orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Guest soloist will be 20-year old wunderkind James Fountain, the recently appointed principal trumpet of the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who until two years ago, was principal cornet of the band.

The jewel in the crown of brass bands. Over 5000 players have been members of this band since 1952.
