Mezzo soprano Anna Huntley (‘noble in timbre and confident in tone’ Financial Times; ‘thrilling warmth and fullness’ Classical Source) offers a delightfully varied recital for her Saffron Walden debut. She begins with much-loved Lieder by Brahms and Schumann, before journeying through the bittersweet English pastoral tradition with a mix of sophisticated tunes and parlour songs. A jazzy taste of the Great American Song Book adds further spice to a fascinating programme.
After the recital, meet the artists and enjoy a complimentary coffee, sherry or squash in the foyer. These hour-long recitals are family friendly – all ages welcome.
