Rye Jazz & Blues festival proudly presents a ‘Unique’ and incredibly special intimate concert with the amazing Joan Armatrading.

This is a truly a once in a lifetime experience to see the legendary Joan Armatrading in an up close and personal environment at the beautiful setting of St Mary’s Church, Rye.

Joan will be performing songs from her long awaited new album ‘Not too far away’ launched on 11th May and her amazing back catalogue of hits spanning the last forty five years.

Joan writes, produces, arranges and, again, plays all the instruments. A deeply personal album that is both intense, poignant and, at times, positively jaunty, it gets straight to the heart of things. The songs are a catalogue of emotion that is as engaging, direct and relevant as it is individual. No prevarication on this album.
