Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón is a one-hour original dance-theater piece by TodoArt13 Productions starring Bárbara Végmed and Efrén Sánchez, whom recreates some of the painter’s controversial life episodes.

Loneliness and sadness are merged with love and humor through this performance in which the audience will be immersed in an atmosphere full of surrealism, offering portraits of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo’s intense life until certain moments before her death.

This show has been touring since its opening night with big success throughout México, Spain, United States and England, the show has being worthy 3 Réplica Awards as Best Female Performance, Best Choreographer and Best Original Show. This coproduction directed by José Luis Donaldson (Spain) and Efrén Sánchez (México) has been named as “a highly recommended show” by Canary Culture network (Spain).
