Great Russian Classics
Making her debut in the UK, following acclaimed performances in mainland Europe, young South Korean violinist Jinyoung Park joins the orchestra as soloist in Glazunov's passionate and technically brilliant late-romantic violin concerto. The evening culminates in a performance of one of Tchaikovsky's most popular symphonies, the dramatic Symphony no. 4.
The emotional and richly textured 'Metamorphosen' by another great late-romantic composer, Richard Strauss completes this compelling programme.
