Perfectly Imperfect Women

Perfectly Imperfect Women –
a biographical wonder tale
What makes us want to be perfect?? What is so bad about imperfection anyway?

Multi-award winning storyteller Danyah Miller returns to the Orange Tree after 2015’s run of I Believe in Unicorns, with a show for older audiences. In this universal tale, she explores what drives us to want to live perfect lives. This is one woman’s search for a richer understanding of her concept of perfection and what it means to accept imperfection in order to connect more deeply to her female line.

The show examines the often complex relationship between mothers and daughters and the challenge of discovering you may have more in common with your female ancestors than you care to admit.

"Poignant, sad, funny, loving and uplifting… it is simultaneously her story, my story and our story" View from the Cheap Seats

"Danyah’s delivery is magical and touching… fast-paced and captivating" A Younger Theatre

"Danyah Miller is a storytelling phenomenon" Michael Morpurgo on Why the Whales Came
