Harpeth Rising are named after a small but powerful river in Tennessee and comprise Jordana Greenberg (violin & vocals) Michelle Younger (banjo, guitar & vocals) and Maria Di Meglio (cello & vocals).
They are three classically trained musicians playing chamberfolk (folk newgrass, rock and classical), as intricately arranged as a string quartet.
Their vocal harmonies run the gamut from traditional Bluegrass to Gregorian organum.
