Paul Young (1), China Crisis
This event has been and gone.
Please read a statement from the venue as follows:
"Following the passing of Paul Young’s wife Stacey last week, we can confirm that this show is still going ahead on the original date as planned. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to the venue."
Soulful 80s chart-topper, best known for the hits Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home), Come Back And Stay, Everytime You Go Away and Love Of The Common People and of course as one of the vocalists on Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas. In 2007 he came close to winning ITV's 'Hell's Kitchen' series. Since then he's split his time between touring with his Tex-Mex band Los Pacaminos and performing solo at 80's festivals. In 2016 he also released his first new album in ten years, 'Good Thing', a collection of overlooked soul covers.

Formed in 1979 in Kirkby on Merseyside, China Crisis are essentially vocalist/keyboardist Garry Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon. With hits including 'Wishful Thinking', 'Black Man Ray' and 'King In A Catholic Style (Wake Up)', their distinctive AOR-fuelled pop songs were everywhere in the '80s, spending a total of 92 weeks in the charts. Who said the '80s were all bad? China Crisis, for instance, were largely considered one of the better musical things about that much-maligned decade. The guys continue to tour and play festivals today.
