Barrel Of Laughs: Tom Stade, Phil Buckley, David Longley, Mike Wilkinson
Featuring three top flight comics from the national and international circuit.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Since coming to the UK, the Canadian has built up a reputation as a popular and highly recommended comedian. He is willing to tackle a huge range of topics, from the obscure to the familiar, from a simple gag to quirky, inventive, rambling anecdotes with unexpected punchlines. Even if he occasionally seems to lose sight of where he's going, at least you know he's taking the audience with him.
'Wonderfully imaginative, original and hilarious' (Rhod Gilbert)
'So cool he could well be the answer to global warming. Gloriously funny silly and smart' (The Scotsman)
'Rock 'n' roll comedian. Absolutely boxfresh; nothing is staid about Stade' (Evening Standard)
'One of the best practitioners of stand-up we've got... stand-up elite' (Chortle)
'An insider's tip for comedy greatness... comic riffs of monumental proportions'
'Every inch a star... super confidence and charisma. If comedy is the new rock 'n' roll, then Tom Stade is Keith Richards' (Scottish Daily Record).
Tom Stade was named in Ents24's top 20 hardest-working comedians of 2016.

You know an act has true international pedigree when their credits include performances in Australia, New Zealand and the USA as well as having supported American Pablo Francisco on his 2008 tour.
'The best example of comedy timing I have seen this year' (The Scotsman)
'Top-class' (Time Out, Sydney)
'Elevating the silly and ridiculous to brilliant comic art' (The Skinny)
'Downright hilarious. Interspersed with some savvy observations' (Three Weeks)
'A genuinely funny comic' (Patrick Monahan)
'A wonderful idiot who makes me laugh a lot' (The Boy With Tape On His Face).
Phil Buckley tour dates
David Longley has been described as 'a difficult comedian to define; on the one hand, abrasive, crude and insulting and on the other, articulate, intelligent and disarmingly funny' (http://www.gagreflex.co.uk)
'Acid tongued and as sharp as a barrel full of tacks... As intense and
intelligent performer as you're likely to see' (The List)
'Intelligent, silly, thought-provoking and filthy... Proves that comedy can say something important and, crucially, still be funny' (Metro)
'A uniquely fascinating act... A must see' (Steve Bennet, Chortle).

Full to the brim with down to earth Northern charm, Mike takes a bemused glance at the world and then throws it a smile. The laughs come thick and fast with Wilkinson's dry humour and razor sharp wit.
Mike's been a professional comic for 7 years and in that time he has supported the likes of Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas and Ross Noble, as well as headlining clubs all over the country. Mike has a laid back style onstage, but can crush a heckler in seconds. Mike is also an accomplished pianist and guitarist!
