This event has been and gone.
Curated by Jake and Dinos Chapman and ATP. Max Richter will be performing The Blue Notebooks, The Notwist are performing Neon Golden and The Album Leaf are performing In A Safe Place.
At the end of 2013, ATP bid farewell to their signature UK holiday-camp events. Though through following the continued reaction of their long-standing fans to this news, and seeing their feelings even further confirmed in the recent ATP Survey which was completed by thousands - ATP are excited to announce a return to UK holiday camps this November, and have found the perfect location to do this at Prestatyn Pontins in North Wales.
Prestatyn has the great benefit of being far more respectful location-wise to the nationwide customer base than previous sites, while still being within easy reach of international airports for non-UK attendees.
As well as the top-notch musical line up of approximately 40 acts, they will also have a full range of extra-curricular activities on offer including ATP TV in every chalet, ATP Cinema programme, Rock 'n' Roll Bingo, Pop Quiz, ATP Karaoke, and much more besides. To the great pleasure of many of the attendees too, they can confirm that late night DJs will be playing until 4am!
Also, due to the growing amount of attendees with young families, ATP are for the first time offering family accommodation deals, the chalets for which will be located in a separate quieter area of the site with low walk-through from other customers. ATP will also be organising a special programme of children's cinema and entertainment.

Melbourne-based singer, guitarist and songwriter now making waves over here. Her first UK single 'History Eraser' has picked up extensive play on BBC 6Music. With her brand of 'slacker' garage-folk music, Pitchfork describe her material as 'shambling folk songs about the dangers of gardening and the quiet crises of modern relationships, all with a keen eye for detail and a wicked sense of humour'. Consider a female Yo La Tengo meets Jeffrey Lewis, and you'd be on the right path.

Built To Spill
Built to Spill is an American indie rock band based in Boise, Idaho. The band was formed by Doug Martsch in 1992 with the intention to sustain a project that would involve a rotating cast of musicians. The songs are haunting rather than catchy. Doug's lyrics hint at politics, but can also be personal. The words lining the songs are neither directive nor dogmatic. Rational thoughts are constantly sacrificed to the metric and melodic needs of each song.

Lightning Bolt are an American noise rock duo from Rhode Island made up of Brian Chippendale and Brian Gibson. Lightning Bolt are known for their guerrilla-style live performances, where they typically play on the ground rather than a stage, with the crowd gathered around them. The band's sound is typically loud and aggressive, though the group cites composers Philip Glass and Sun Ra as compositional influences.

Holly Herndon has become a leading light in contemporary alternative and electronic music by fearlessly experimenting within the outer reaches of dance music and pop songwriting structures. Born in Tennessee, but reared on music abroad, Herndon broke out from her formative years in Berlin's minimal techno scene to repatriate to San Francisco, where she currently lives and studies as a doctoral candidate at Stanford's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA).

Detroit, Michigan's Death was conceived by bandleader and guitarist David Hackney in 1973. In 2008, Death's music was rediscovered and noted by Rock historians as the sound that pre-dated the "Punk" movement of sound by five years. David Hackney died in 2000, but staying true to David's vision and concept for the band, Bobby Hackney, Dannis and guitarist Bobbie Duncan have continued to work together to write, refine and produce the best, most honest, fun loving and hard driving Rock-N-Roll music for their fans.

Loop was formed in Croydon, London, 1986 by Robert Hampson (vocals/guitars) and partner Beki Stewart (Bex) on drums. Following line-up changes - the arrival of new drummer John Wills, new bassist Neil MacKay and James Endeacott on second guitar the band took a primal rhythmic foundation, captured on their impressive debut full-length Heavens End (1987). Hypnotising all, with their discordant trance-like spell serving as an antidote to the prevailing trend in British pop at the time, they resurrected the concept of loud out there-rock for a new era, creating droning soundscapes of bleak beauty and harsh dissonance.

'Ought has been burning with a strong and steady flame since flickering to life in Montreal in 2012. Holed up in a shared apartment that doubled as their rehearsal space, the four band members self-recorded a first EP then busted out into the city’s loft circuit, and into the city streets during the Printemps d’Erable Quebec student general strike, in the spring of 2012. Guitarist/vocalist Tim Beeler, who previously had been writing poetry and folk music, drew new energy from electrification/amplification and from solidarity/protest alike'.

Fumaça Preta brings together elements of tropicalia, psychedelics, fuzz funk, musique concrete, acid house, radiophonic electronics and numerous African, Brazilian and Latin rhythms. The band started as a studio experiment when Alex Figueira, a Portuguese-Venezuelan producer and percussionist, invited some old friends to join him in the tiny analogue studio he built on the back of his house in Amsterdam for some free-ride experimentation. The songs that were conceived, recorded to tape and mixed in that 3 day session became the bands first 45 on Music With Soul Records. All musical boundaries collapsed during the recording of the album as the band drew upon influences from partido alto to acid house, from heavy metal to musique concrete and from raw funk to French soundtracks. Live, the band the band runs fiercely through unexplained and unexpected musical terrain but never loose the rock solid psychedelic voodoo groove that drives them.

London based, YoungHusband, initially existed as a bedroom recording project by Euan who put out an early single and two EPs on small UK label Culturedeluxe. Shortly after this a band was formed to play the songs live. Overtime the band started writing together and embraced a heavier psych filled sound, moving away from the lo-fi acoustic orientated sound of the bedroom output. They released their first single in June 2011 with the UK label Too Pure, followed by the EP 'Crystal' released in November 2011 by Sonic Cathedral. In interviews the band have cited influenced including Stereolab, The Birthday Party, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Yo La Tengo, Beach Boy's, The Ronnettes, Broadcast, Wire and The Cocteau Twin's.

Grimm Grimm is the space-folk solo project of Koichi Yamanoha, a London-based Tokyo native and former 1/3 of cult psychedelic punks Screaming Tea Party. Grimm Grimm’s sound is cinematic and experimental, with a unique raw quality, achieved by the folk-inspired acoustics, a common motif which defines his work. Koichi plays on contrasts, pairing the clarity of an acoustic guitar with hazy vocals and misty synths. Music and art share no distance, and are together a form of communication in Grimm Grimm’s work, which is largely experimental yet rings of a profound simplicity.

Formed in 2010, the Portuguese band PAUS consists of, in their own words, of "a ‘siamese drum kit’, a bass guitar bigger than your mother and a synth that makes you feel things.” The quartet, formed by Makoto Yagyu on the bass, João “Shela” Pereira on keyboards, and Hélio Morais and Quim Albergaria on a unique siamese drum set, have been praised for their distinctive experimental sound and explosive, improvisational live shows: which not only have accelerated Portuguese culture into the limelight, but also represent an entirely new approach in contemporary music and live performance.

Instead, she has developed a refreshing guitar-grounded musical vocabulary and a knack for infectious and entrancing tunes.

After a collection of demos and early studio recordings earned her a small, dedicated audience, Jesica Pratt moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles and recorded her first intentional album in her bedroom in a matter of months. That album, On Your Own Love Again (Drag City, 2015), would bring her around the world many times, leading many to fall under the spell of Jessica Pratt the performer, the songwriter, the singer with the heavy-lidded voice that feels alien and familiar at the same time.
