Spinnaker Tower Comedy Club Christmas Special: Paul McCaffrey, Jonny Awsum, Angela Barnes, James Alderson
An amazing venue at one of the best comedy nights in the country, where you start your evening at 7pm with drinks at the top of the tower, looking across the historic harbour with unrivalled views of the south coast at night, and then move to the ground floor for a festive food platter at 7:45pm.
The comedy show then starts at 9pm with an amazing headliner in the form of Paul McCaffrey as seen on Russell Howard's Good News, and Impractical Jokers, supported by Jonny Awsum, a guitar wielding comedian who is currently the hilarious face of the Cravendale milk TV adverts, and Angela Barnes, as seen on Russell Howard's Good News and Eddie Izzard's Laughs In The Park on BBC2.
All hosted by local comedian James Alderson.
Please note that early booking is strongly recommended.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Paul McCaffrey is a stand-up comedian and comic actor who can be watched on the BBC3 prank show, Impractical Jokers, starring alongside Roisin Conaty, Joel Dommett and Marek Larwood.
'Hugely professional... likeable, animated and fluid with a first-rate sense of timing' (Chortle)
'He has charm, charisma and success written all over him' (Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard)
'Obviously born to be a comic’ (The Scotsman).

A dab hand at singing, acting, presenting, stand-up comedy and playing guitar, Jonny Awsum has a crowd-pleasing set that's seen him smash thousands of gigs all around the world.
Jonny's musings include everything from the white lies he tells his girlfriend to his new home town of Croydon and the memory of his first love at eight years old.
'With his guitar and musical parodies he amuses his audiences charming them with his warm and friendly persona, his style of audience participation is second to none' (Funhouse Comedy).

After a career in health and social care, Angela Barnes decided to realise a long held ambition and give comedy a go. Within a couple of years she had won the 2011 BBC New Comedy Award and became a finalist at the 2011 Latitude Festival New Act of the Year competition.
'Angela Barnes is a brilliant new comic with an excellent on stage persona. Her acidic tone of delivery and deftly crafted, punchy material make for a very funny set' (Trevor Lock)
'... brilliantly funny' (Sarah Millican)
'... warm autobiographical material with plenty of strong jokes... She's just a gloriously down-to-earth, straight talking and extremely funny comic... Like all the best comics, she manages to articulate a singular perspective while making it seem like a universal truth. And then she put jokes in it. Harder than it looks' (The Guardian)
'Angela Barnes is the best mainstream female comedian I've seen since Sarah Millican... I can't be any clearer than that can I?' (Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard)
'A beautifully paced performance that was aided by the consistent quality of her jokes, many of which showed a great skill with self-deprecation' (Chortle).
