Join us for the Official Armed Forces Day in Portsmouth!

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard welcomes you to our Armed Forces Day celebration. The dockyard will be full of live music, military vehicles and an array of Armed Forces servicemen and women showcasing the exciting jobs they do and taking part in displays in Port Arena.

The Royal Marine School of Music will be performing with their marching band in front of HMS Victory at 13:00.

Additionally there will be musical entertainment from 11:00-16:00

There will be loads of family friendly activities on site as well, including hands on activities over at Action Stations:

– the mine-sweep challenge

– knot tying

– a singing group with sea shanties

– historic boats open to public

AS WELL AS military style board games from The DICE group (suitable for all ages)

Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets. There are many ways for people, communities and organisations across the country to show their support and get involved, from attending an event or joining us online to throwing a party or local event.

Free Event to enter with some charges to additional attractions.
