A Spoonful Of Sugar

Following the huge success of 'Rydell Reunited' Footlight Performance Academy in association with Born2Perform are delighted to announce this year’s school production of A Spoonful of Sugar.

This story will be brought to life from Page to Stage on June 24th and 25th 2017 featuring a fantastic cast of 200 young performers!

A Spoonful of Sugar is an adaptation of the much loved story of Mary Poppins and the Banks family who live in a big house on Cherry Lane. Mr Banks works in the city and Mrs Banks is canvassing for votes for women. Things are not going well for the family, the children, Jane and Michael, are out of control and are in need of a new nanny. Jane and Michael have their own ideas, while their parents—and in particular Mr. Banks—are insistent on someone strict for the job.

When a mysterious young woman named Mary Poppins appears on their doorstep, the family finds that she’s the answer to their prayers. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones she has a profound effect upon. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny.

All the cast are ready and waiting in the wings to amuse and entertain you in what is certain to be a fantastic story with spectacular sets, beautiful costumes, and a touch of magic!
