Tina May Quartet

Tina May is one of the finest British jazz singers around, in demand in the UK and abroad, whose live shows showcase her creative invention, wonderful improvisation skills and joyful personality.

Tina started out in comedy review, including an Edinburgh collaboration with Rory Bremner, but, since her debut album in 1991, has risen to the very top of the jazz tree, winning a plethora of awards and appearing at festivals in Tokyo, Japan, Poland, Austria, Germany, France and many more.

As well as her many acclaimed albums under her own name, Tina has worked with a huge array of international jazz stars, including Stan Tracey, Guy Barker, Cleo Lane, John Dankworth, Scott Hamilton, Nat Adderley and many more.

Tonight’s show features a top band including regular collaborator Nikki Iles, and will showcase Tina’s unique take on an array of standards, plus other material drawn from her many collaborations.
