Masculinity versus fragility - what is the state of your empire?
This is dance theatre at its most thrilling! Set against the imagined backdrop of New York's world famous, iconic Empire State Building, five outstanding male performers inhabit the world of the heroic construction workers of 1930; the men whose skills, dedication and sheer bravery helped make this incredible building a ground-breaking first.
Choreographer and artistic director Zoie Golding envelops her performers in a throbbing and visceral music score as they move within an industrial set that builds throughout the performance.
'SAFE' brings to life cinematic vignettes with epic insight into the very heart of human nature.
This performance is brought to you by The House and Barbican Theatre.
VENUE: The House, Plymouth University.
