Classic Theatre Cumbria

'One of Shakespeare’s strengths is how well he can draw characters and in King Lear he has brought this to a pinnacle of his art.

What’s more, it is written with his wonderful words and and is such a good story too. It is a play I have loved for a long time and in Classic Theatre Cumbria I realised we had the talent to present this to the county.

Early rehearsals have already proved exciting and I know our King Lear will live long in the hearts of those who come to see it.'
