The Lucy Ward Band

Lucy Ward is a brilliant singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Derby. There is a natural and easy sound to her music that is brought to life by expressive performance, Lucy's own brand of banter and her genuine and sparkling personality.

After winning the Horizon Award (Best Newcomer) at the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Lucy was named by MOJO as "Britfolk's most vibrant and forthright new young talent". Since then, Lucy's career has gone from strength to strength establishing herself as one of the hottest performers on the UK Folk scene. She pulled in capacity audiences to her Cambridge Folk Festival debut and the mighty Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury 2013. In 2014 she was one of the four nominees for BBC Folk Singer of the Year.
