Marcus Sedgwick

Marcus Sedgwick is a regular on the Carnegie Medal shortlist and the recipient of several awards including the Printz Award the Booktrust Teenage Prize and the Blue Peter Book Award. His teen novels mix suspense and a high sense of atmosphere with explorations into whatever intellectual conundrum is most occupying him at the time challenging readers whatever their age. His fascination with coincidences drove the plot of She Is Not Invisible while his latest book Ghosts of Heaven shortlisted for the 2015 Costa Children's Book Award focuses on the significance of the Fibonacci Spiral and the way it is repeatedly found in nature. This is his first visit to the FT Weekend Oxford Literary Festival. Age 14+
