What's in a ballad? Once for sale on street corners country-wide, ballads represent a world of story. Michael, Alexandra and Tim will reveal how current research into ballad collections is opening ever more windows onto that world, interspersed with sung examples taken from Oxfordshire's richly colourful ballad heritage.
