Ousinf: Michaelmas Term Concert - Britten, Birtwistle, Schoenberg & Bartok
Oxford University Sinfonietta is one of the UK's premier student orchestras. Made up of a small group of elite players from the University, the orchestra performs once per term and specialises in challenging and rarely-performed repertoire.
This concert will feature four enduring twentieth-century compositions for various chamber ensembles, with works by Britten, Birtwistle, Schoenberg, and concluding with Bartók's formidable masterpiece for strings, percussion and celesta.
