A Quite Interesting Evening

Join actor, writer, activist and presenter Sandi Toksvig for an evening of witty repartee and wondrous anecdotes. Following on from the world premiere production of her play Silver Lining, this is a special event in support of the Playhouse where she and John Lloyd will discuss her life, career and generally set the world to rights.

The new host of QI, Sandi was prepared to take over Stephen Fry’s legacy by a lifetime of comedy and performance adventures. These include a wealth of comedy shows such as Call My Bluff, Whose Line Is It Anyway and Mock The Week, and, of course, she was host of The News Quiz for ten hilarious years.

Outside of comedy, she’s a veteran stage performer and has presented various shows from children’s TV to Time Team, and even brought live drama back to television with Theatre Live for Sky Arts. She’s written various plays for both Theatre Live and the stage (including Silver Lining which plays at Oxford Playhouse in February).

She’ll be joined in conversation by Lloyd, whose own storied career goes back decades (including creating The News Quiz and QI). Between the two of them, they’re sure to have some rip-roaring stories to share.
