Black Comedy

This 1960s masterpiece ingeniously sets a social farce in the darkness of a London apartment after a fuse has blown.

An opportunistic young sculptor prepares for one of the most important evenings of his life. Tonight, he is to meet both the militaristic father of his fiancée and a millionaire arts patron who could make his career. Throw a couple of neighbours, excessive amounts of furniture moving and an unexpected visitor into the mix and you have the perfect recipe for a rip-roaring farce.

An entirely student-led creative team and cast from Magdalen College School present this quintessentially chaotic comedy which explores hidden truths, social manners, and what happens when the lights go out.
