Dressed as a pirate and armed with a blue bag of Hobnobs, Sophie tells a part autobiographical, part fictional tale of a woman caught between her own mistakes and her unlikely friendships.

Quiet Violence explores the theme of self destruction and the small ways we make life harder for ourselves: buying the cheapest look roll, wearing shoes that rub, pretending we are in love.

Sophie knows that Stanley, the older man who lives in the flat downstairs, eats a dangerous amount of cheese. Stanley knows that Craig isn’t good for Sophie. Sophie knows that Craig isn’t good for Sophie.
