Rope, A Play
“I have committed murder. I have killed for the sake of danger and for the sake of killing. And I am alive.”
Mayfair, 1929. One rainy night before term begins, two Oxford students host a party, using a wooden chest for the buffet. Within the chest: a dead body.
Gripping, luxurious, dark - based on the infamous Leopold and Loeb murder case, ROPE is the seminal thriller. Cinematised by Hitchcock in 1948, coming to the Oxford Union in February.
