In The Beginning
Commotio return to the stunning acoustic of Merton College Chapel to perform one of the most spectacular pieces in the contemporary choral repertoire. Using the first verses of the Bible, Copland is at his most evocative in this narration of the Creation, set for choir and mezzo soprano. Commotio will also perform the world premieres of works by Allain and Pott. In preparation for their forthcoming CD (to be released on Naxos) several carols by local composer, Bob Chilcott will also feature.
