Dorian Gray
St Hilda’s Drama Society presents Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, the story of a young man who sells his soul for eternal youth and beauty so that a portrait bears the burdens of age and sin in his place.
The novel shocked Victorian audiences with its exploration of hedonism and implied homosexuality, and this new adaptation for the stage restores dialogue from Wilde's original manuscript, which was heavily edited before its publication in 1890.
